ENTRY RULES

1. This show is sanctioned by ADGA (The Junior and Seniors show is not judged separately) for the following breeds each to carry a specific entry number: 6-A Alpine; 6-B La Mancha; 6-C Nubian; 6-D Oberhasli; 6-E Saanen; 6-F Toggenburg; 6-G Nigerian Dwarf; 6-H Sable; 6-1 Recorded Grades. Registration or Recordation Number must appear on the entry blank; along with full name of Doe.

2. Entries due August 6, 2010, entry fee $.50; late fee $1.00. "Late" are those received after August 6, 2010.  Entry fee must accompany entry. In addition, an exhibitor's ticket or membership is required. Parking pass if needed

3. Send entries to: Ginger Jackson, PO Box 4878033,  Cincinnati, Ohio 45248. Make checks payable to Hamilton County Agricultural Society.

4. The base date is August 13, 2010, the date the animal is to be judged.

5. The original registration certificate is required for all animals six months of age or older and this must be shown to the Show Secretary before the start of the show.

6. The original registration certificate or duplicate application stamped by the ADGA office is required for all animals under six months of age and this must be shown to the Show Secretary before the start of the show.

7. No copies of the registration certificates or the stamped application, telegram or phone calls will be accepted in lieu of the original certificate.

8. Health papers are required on all ages for out of state animals.

9. Animals must be in place by 12:00 midnight August 9, 2010, will be released by 6 p.m., August 14, 2010.

10. This show is sanctioned by the American Dairy Goat Association. Their rules shall govern.

11. There will be a pre-show milk-out at Hamilton County Fairgrounds August 12, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. under the supervision of Show Committee Appointed supervisors.

12. All buck goats barred from grounds of exhibit.

13. All animals must be tattooed LEGIBLY before start of show.

14. Exhibitors are requested that their showmen and selves be neatly and appropriately attired (preferably in White) when showing their animals in the ring.

15. Each animal shown in a Specialty or Group Class must have been shown as an individual in the appropriate open-competition class.

16. Exhibitor may make as many entries as they like, but awards to any one exhibitor will be limited to two prizes in single or group classes per breed.

6-25 Exhibitor's Herd (to consist of 4 animals, at least one in milk, all owned by the exhibitor)

No entries of poultry will be accepted without health certificate. See Health Requirements for Animals.

All birds will be cooped in wire coops; but as the number of coops available is limited, the right is reserved to refuse Entries. Decisions to be in accordance with the latest American Standard of Perfection. The awards to be made on single birds, no unworthy specimen shall be awarded a premium whether there be competition or not. the exhibitor must be the owner of the foul exhibited. No Standard Game Excepted.

No diseased birds will be allowed on the grounds, and any bird became sick during the course of the show the exhibitor must remove it from the grounds upon request of the Superintendent of the show.

No premium will be paid on any variety except according to the Standard of Perfection.

Bring birds prepaid to Show Manager, Hamilton County Fair Grounds, Cincinnati. To arrive not later than 6 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2010. The Fair Association will not be responsible for any loss by theft, fire, accident or damage of any kind.

Notice: All exhibits must be tagged with name of Breed and Exhibitor's Name.

All stock must be in Show Room at Fair Grounds before 6 p.m.  Monday, August 9, 2010.

All stock must be ear-marked in left ear.

Judging will start Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at 9 a.m. Decisions of Judges will be final.

All Rabbits will be cooped in wire coops, but as the number of coops available is limited, the right is reserved to refuse entries when cases are filled.

All stock will be fed by an experienced Rabbit Breeder.

Rabbits not entered in competition will not be housed in show room.

The Fair Association will not be responsible for any loss by theft, fire, accident or damage of any kind. Watchman will be on duty all night. No stock to be taken from Show Room before 8 p.m. Saturday, August 14, or Sunday August 15. Out of county may opt for carry in show. Registration starts at 4:30 pm.

All entries of poultry will be accepted without health certificate provided the flock has not been exposed to and entries do not show any evidence of any contagious, infectious, or communicable disease, subject to the approval of the Official Fair Veterinarian.
